Is Internet Ministry Valuable?

I have been trying to encourage my peers to become wise to this rapidly expanding God's vineyard. It is difficult to bring many great ministers into the 21st communications network of the internet. Learning internet technology is time consuming and at times not the easiest to understand! The only reason I am knowledgeable is the fact that I am a retired communications design specialist and former broadcast art director.
I am called into this "virtual" vineyard, just because I understand the technology easily. I don't have to wait for one of my faithful church members to stop by to teach me. You can trust behind the computer is a "reality" ministry as well. Our work online is outreach from our church organization.

If it had not been for my secular training, I would be just as puzzled as many of my associates. I produce my own web ministry resources, videos, sites, graphics and sound. If a seasoned minister who had the heart to impart doesn't have a "web minister" dedicated to this form of outreach-they ARE LOST! Even Romans 10: 9&10 wouldn't be able to save them!

Internet ministry is valid. I believe it is valid as an outreach "virtual" tool reaching countless globally. The internet is a valuable communications tool which is EXTREMELY powerful and it is unique to other mass media instruments as cable, satellite as well as traditional broadcast mediums.

The internet is a powerful mass communications instrument with an interactive property allowing countless to develop a "one to one" reach into the lives of individuals. You can actually build lasting bonded relationships via this INTERACTIVE medium. Thusly, it is both POWERFUL and DANGEROUS!

The main issue I personally have with internet web ministry is there is no governance on this information highway. Put simply, folks can be self appointed and allowed to do what "reality" ministerial guidelines won't let them accomplish i.e.-"DO" otherwise.

Individuals "do" on the internet what "reality" church, ministry, and denominational guidelines or criteria won't allow them to "do" in real space! There are no qualifying rules-EVERY and ANYONE can MINISTER! You can register for a free navigation portal tool out here in cyberspace and GO FOR IT! This is a lethal weapon to innocent soul's searching for God!

On the other hand, there are countless Women In Ministry servants of God who are bound by traditional, denominational and organizational guidelines. Women ministers in many arenas experience closed doors to ministry opportunities. Women's Ministry has been birthed to new heights on the internet and has raised up numerous online pulpits. If it weren't for these internet instruments they would not be able to express God's call. Nonetheless, without guidelines and accountability, you can and WILL get hurt!

When we go to the doctor or dentist for the first time we look for qualifiers, don't we?! Well, I look around for degrees, diplomas and a state certification seal! I READ THE DOCTOR'S WALL AND DEGREES-EVERY WORD! Oh, yes I do and you do to! I require no more and no less of spiritual advisors than I do of my doctors. I would no more open my heart, mind and soul to unsubstantiated sources than I would open my mouth to a dentist just because they like teeth!

Ministerial qualifications attest by witnessed signatures that ones gifts are affirmed by a ministerial body of at least two or three! God's anointing in a minister's life for others is affirmed by a process. Anointed, prepared and qualified are three different steps in the course of ministerial training.

Look at even Paul's ordination council (first off, he had one!) Acts 13:1-4. Paul was SENT, NOT JUST "WENT!" Many take the "GO" of the Great Commission and the free internet tools and "WENT" themselves into cyberspace web ministry! I have an advisory warning to those seeking the Lord's answers out here! Ask questions of the web minister before sitting down for serious web ministry IN TAKE! Fellowship online is one thing and BELIEVING EVERY PERSON WITH A WORD IS ANOTHER!

Some have "WENT" out here in their vivid imaginations of God's call in their lives. The internet tools are here freely and tech savvy voices open online pulpits every minute! Unfortunately, those of us who are senior to ministerial experience just are too busy to figure out internet technology.

Our church's outreach web portal The Executive Female Ministerial Alliance http://efmaonline.com is our outreach to Women In Ministry. More than offering Women In Ministry current news, as led, we certify web ministers. We recommend to the online community those web ministers which can be regarded as trusted web ministry resources to the body of Christ. Our certified web ministers have our Gospel Fellowship Churches of Christ, Inc. "EFMA" certified buttons on their websites. They are listed on our portal as well for verification. You see you can just "right click" any seal and make yourself important for ministry!

Now we don't eat "meat" without a USDA mark seal of approval do we? Food and Drug Administration stamps all foods, drugs and products to make secure ingestion of products for consumption. Well, Bishop who died and left you in charge? I answer the Lord Jesus Christ and enough affirming paperwork to make wall paper! The Holy Spirit leads me in every area of this work!

The Spirit of the Living God is in charge of this information highway! You can believe it! A minister's web ministry flourishes over and over again because of certifying paperwork on their wall AND THE ANOINTING!

Ministries "called and sent" into "virtual" space from "reality" space are those to be trusted. There is no difference in cyberspace than what is occurring behind your display screen. Should one have successful web ministry it is because they first have successful ministry for the Lord in reality space!
